David Helgeson, CMP

General Manager

David directs a team of dedicated professionals who strive to exceed guests’ expectations with the goal of earning customer loyalty. With many years of experience servicing guests from a “front” and “back-of-the-house” perspective, David works closely with all hotel departments to ensure the client’s expectations are met and exceeded. David and everyone at the Best Western Premier Waterfront Hotel know that it is much easier to keep guests coming back than it is to find new ones.

Christy Marquardt

Director of Sales

While attending UW Oshkosh, Christy began her hospitality career at the once revered Pioneer Resort & Marina, Oshkosh.  Now a part of the Best Western Premier, Christy directs the sales team with the goal of bringing meetings, conventions, and other groups to the hotel and convention center. Under Christy’s leadership and guidance, the sales and catering team is focused on meeting the guest’s every need and fulfilling the client’s mission of a flawless event.

Malissa MacDonald

Conference & Event Manager

At the Best Western Premier Waterfront Hotel & Convention Center, Malissa works with guests to determine the needs of each event and cultivates those events from the planning stages to completion. Her many years of experience in the fast-paced hospitality environment have given her the ability to think on her feet, anticipate guests’ needs and provide the best in customer service.

Anna Forslin

Wedding & Event Manager

Anna’s focus is on managing weddings and social events for the hotel and Oshkosh Convention Center. Anna also oversees the catering for off-premise weddings at other area venues through the hotel’s catering department, Premier Waterfront Catering. She has a passion for event planning and strives to help make your big day memorable and unique to you. Through her years of working in the event industry, Anna has gained invaluable experience executing events from start to finish while providing excellent customer service every step of the way.

Matt Winters, CEC

Executive Chef

Chef Matt, a native of the Salt Lake City area, and brings a wealth of culinary and hospitality knowledge. Over his extensive 30+ year culinary career, he has gained “specialized” knowledge of World, European, and Regional American Cuisine, pastries, and confections.
He received his Associate’s Degree in Hospitality Management from Utah Valley University as well as continuing education credits from The Culinary Institute of America. Chef Matt has experience in full-service, high-end hotels, and resorts containing multiple restaurants with convention centers attached. He also has extensive off-premise catering experience.

Chef Matt is an ACF Certified Executive Chef, president of the American Culinary Federation – Fox Valley Chapter, as well as the 2012 Chef of the Year. He is the 4-time and current Chef Showdown Champion of the N.E. Wisconsin “Taste of the Town” event to benefit the Big Brother/Big Sisters of N.E. Wisconsin.

Chef Matt and his culinary team are responsible for all food service at the Oshkosh Convention Center, the hotel ballroom, and Premier Waterfront Catering, the hotel’s off-premise catering division.
